Terms of service
Last updated: 2 November 2026
Thank you for using ProposalHost. These Terms of service ("Terms") are the rules for using it.
In these Terms, "ProposalHost", "we", "our" and "us" mean the person who runs ProposalHost as a sole proprietor. If a company takes over ProposalHost, we update this page to name it. "Service" means proposalhost.com, app.proposalhost.com, files.proposalhost.com and the ProposalHost MCP connector. "You" means the person or business that has a ProposalHost account. "Client" means a person who receives a proposal link from you.
We may update these Terms. When we make a significant change, we update the date at the top of this page and take steps to tell account holders. When you use the Service, you agree to the latest Terms. If we do not enforce a right or a term, we do not give up that right or term. These Terms contain a limit on our liability.
If you break these Terms, we may close your account.
Account terms
You are responsible for the security of your account and of the email account or Google account that you use to sign in. We are not liable for loss or damage that results when you do not keep them secure.
Each account is for one seller. A seller can invite members, and every member has the same rights. You are responsible for the activity of each member.
You are responsible for all content in your account and for all activity in your account, including activity through the MCP connector.
You must be a human. An account that a bot or another automated method registers is not permitted.
You must not use the Service for anything that is illegal, fraudulent or harmful, or to send content that you do not have the right to send.
You and your clients
You write your proposals, your prices and your agreements. You are responsible for them, for any taxes on your sales, and for your relationship with your clients.
ProposalHost is not a party to an agreement between you and a client. We do not give legal advice. You are responsible for whether a typed-name signature is suitable for your agreement and your country.
Payments from your clients go to your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect. Stripe's terms apply to those payments. ProposalHost takes no fee on them and never holds your client's money.
You must have the right to send a proposal to each client, and you must handle your client's data as the law requires. We process your client's data for you, as our Privacy policy describes.
Payment, trial and plan changes
ProposalHost has one plan. It costs $15 a month or $100 a year.
A new seller gets a 7-day free trial. The trial starts when you create your account, with no card. Stripe asks for a card only when you subscribe, and charges nothing until the trial ends. Each seller gets one trial.
You pay in advance for each month or year. Stripe charges your card at the start of each billing period.
If your trial or your subscription ends, you can still sign in, read your proposals, see views and download signed copies. You cannot send a proposal or a new version until you subscribe again. Links that you sent before keep working for your clients.
Prices do not include taxes that may apply.
Cancellation and termination
You cancel your subscription in the Stripe customer portal, which you open from the billing page. An email to us is not a cancellation.
When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the period that you paid for, and we do not charge you again. We do not refund the unused part of a period, unless the law requires it.
To close your account, email us at support@proposalhost.com. After you close your account, you can ask us to delete your content. We cannot recover content after we delete it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or that puts the Service or other people at risk. We may refuse the Service to anyone for any reason at any time.
Abuse of, or threats to, a ProposalHost employee or officer result in immediate account termination.
Changes to the Service and prices
We may change or stop any part of the Service, for a time or permanently.
We may change our prices. A new price applies from your next billing period.
Uptime, security and privacy
You use the Service at your own risk. We provide the Service "as is" and "as available". We do not offer a service-level agreement.
We protect your data with encrypted connections and the security measures that our Privacy policy describes.
We process your data only as our Privacy policy describes. The Privacy policy also lists when a person at ProposalHost may look at your content.
We use other companies to run the Service: Cloudflare for hosting, storage, email, AI and Browser Rendering, Stripe for billing and payments, PostHog for product analytics, and Google for sign-in if you choose it.
Your content
Your content stays yours. You give us a limited license to store, process and show your content so that we can provide the Service. We claim no ownership of your content.
When you send a proposal, we freeze that version. Nobody can change a sent version or a signature, so both sides keep a clear record.
We do not check content before you send it. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
We own the Service, including its design and code. You get no ownership of the Service when you use it. You must not copy, sell or resell any part of the Service without our written permission.
Features and bugs
We design the Service with care. We do not promise that it meets every need that you have. Like all software, the Service has bugs. We fix the most important bugs first, especially bugs that affect security or privacy. We do not promise that the Service is free of errors.
The MCP connector
The MCP connector lets an AI assistant that you choose work on your drafts. The connector never sends, signs or takes payment.
We are not liable for damage or loss that results from your use of the connector or of a third-party product that uses it.
We may limit or suspend access through the connector if it is misused or if it harms the Service.
Liability
To the maximum extent that the law permits, ProposalHost is not liable to you or to any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, including lost profits, goodwill, use or data, even if we were told that such damages were possible. This applies to damages that result from: (i) the use of the Service, or the inability to use it; (ii) the cost of substitute goods or services; (iii) unauthorized access to, or change of, your data; (iv) the statements or conduct of a third party on the Service; or (v) any other matter that relates to these Terms or the Service.
